Deliverability
Get your emails back in the inbox.
When open rates drop, the cause is usually one of three things: authentication, list quality, or what you're sending to whom. I check all three in that order and fix the smallest thing that solves the problem.
What's included
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks against how your mail actually sends
- A branded sending domain set up in Klaviyo
- Bounce and spam complaint review, flow by flow
- Engagement-based segments and a sunset flow
- A DMARC plan that moves from monitoring to enforcement safely
- A written summary of what changed and what to watch
How it works
Four steps, in this order.
- 1
Collect evidence
DNS records, Klaviyo settings, bounce reasons, and raw message headers, before any guesses.
- 2
Find the cause
I separate authentication problems from list and content problems, since they need different fixes.
- 3
Fix the smallest thing
One change at a time, with the old values saved so anything can be rolled back.
- 4
Verify
A real test message has to pass SPF, DKIM, and DMARC before I call it fixed.
FAQ
Common questions.
What are Google's and Yahoo's sender rules?
Brands sending in volume need SPF and DKIM, a DMARC record, one-click unsubscribe, and a spam complaint rate kept well under 0.3 percent. Most Klaviyo accounts can meet these with a branded sending domain and a cleaner list.
Will changing DNS break my regular email?
Not if it's done carefully. I record every existing record first, keep your mail provider's settings intact, and only change what the fix needs.
Do I need a dedicated IP?
Almost never for Shopify brands. A branded sending domain on Klaviyo's shared infrastructure is the right setup for most lists.
How long until open rates recover?
Authentication fixes take effect within a day or two. Reputation recovers over a few weeks of sending to engaged subscribers.
